Birkett Cryogenic Safety Relief Valve

Bailey produce a wide range of dependable pressure reducing valves. They independently and without intervention monitor the supply pressure and automatically deliver a consistent reduced pressure for the operator.

CHASE has supplied Bailey Birkett Cryogenic safety valves for many years. We have a close working relationship with Bailey Birkett manufacturers, Emerson.

The W400 is a full lift, full nozzle, conventional valve with dimensions to API526. Engineers have designed the WB400 to safely relieve excess pressure in pumps, pipework, tanks, calorifiers, gas and oil separators and other process vessels. It’s suitable for gas, steam and vapour applications.

All design options and the various effects of system conditions and back pressure have been verified on Birkett’s extensive in-house mass flow test facility. Continuous design improvements have created smaller and lighter valves to support current industry design trends, especially space and weight savings. Valves can be modified from type to type simply by changing only a few parts. Maintenance is easy and more cost effective because Birkett engineers have reduced the number of parts.

BIRKETT WB400 Conventional Gas Type Cryogenic Safety Relief Valve

The WB400 Conventional valves can be used on systems where the discharge is relatively simple. The pressure in the discharge system can be atmospheric, at a constant level or to a maximum of 10% of the set pressure. The gas/vapour disc can be distinguished by the flat underside, unlike the cone profile of the liquid disc.
